The primary function of the Techical Sales Representative is to support technical and sales inquiries from multiple sources such as sales team, customers, affiliates, etc. This role has key insights to our product attributes, product limiations, installation, and specifications. Requires an understanding of complimentary products and buyout offerings, their uses, and also limiations. Additional functions include facilitation and support of pre-sell activities assocatied with budgeting, detailed specification review, and submittals. Requires a strong understating of the construction industry, technical ability, a general understanding of construction drawings and specifications, and comprehensive understanding all department functions. In this role, the TSR will work closely with Business Development Account Managers, Regional Sales Managers, District Sales Managers, and Independent Sales reps to ensure bidders for qualified opportunities and follow-up on quotes and key projects.


Essential Duties: 

  • Respond to calls and emails from customers, reps, affiliates, etc. regarding product uses, limitations, features, exceptions and other technical questions.
  • Faciliate special pricing approvals.
  • Follow-up with DSM, RSM, and customers on key projects.
  • Faciliate submittal packages and documentation.
  • Handle inquiries regarding complimentary products or buyout products, features, etc.
  • Function as training resource for simplified training exercises.
  • Assist in issue resolution regarding internal breakdown - invoicing, etc.
  • Maintain price reference documents, coordinate with Metl-Connection administrator, and maintain MMS pricing.


  • 4 year degree preferred
  • 3-5 uears experience required
