Responsibilities

Metal Depots is looking for a talented and competitive Inside Sales Coordinator that thrives in a quick sales environment. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition, retention and revenue growth objectives. The successful candidate must be comfortable making outbound phone calls, qualifying prospects and closing sales on a daily basis and must also showcase a commitment to excellence, willing to take personal responsibility and strive to provide an exceptional customer experience.

Essential Duties:

  • Exude a professional appearance and disposition
  • Manage and grow an existing book of business as well as acquire new business accounts
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, marketing techniques, etc.
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, identifying key players and generating interest, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations and preparing sales quotations
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and conducting an outbound calling/email program
  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects 
  • Manage entire sales cycle from identifying need and qualifying opportunity to proposing a solution and closing the deal
  • Ensure current and easily accessible records of customer interactions by entering data into CRM system
  • Assist, learn and become efficient in every position within the company to include Credit Assistant and Warehouse Custodian duties
  • Visit job sites/customers as needed and conduct outside sales calls
  • Exemplify and enforce safety standards on a daily basis

Qualifications

  • An exceptional listener with excellent time management, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with frequent walk-in customers and busy phone lines
  • Good problem-solving skills and a high level of integrity
  • Ability to lift heavy loads
  • At times, a willingness to work in a non-climate controlled environment
  • Self-motivated and competitive, but also a team player
  • Experience in a sales and/or customer service environment
  • Experience with a CRM program or strong aptitude to learn computer systems
  • Experience operating a Forklift/Combilift or similar heavy machinery
