  • Conducting periodic safety audits and assisting management and supervisors in investigating safety incidents, determining probable causes, and developing measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Training and mentoring new-hire employees and plant personnel on company safety programs, procedures, polices and guidelines.
  • Monitoring proper use and availability of PPE for plant personnel.
  • Driving a high level of safety awareness to the supervisor and plant floor level through a behavior-based safety program.
  • Oversight of recordkeeping and inspection requirements for environmental compliance programs and permits such as storm water, spill prevention and industrial waste.
  • The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring that our company is in compliance with all safety-related regulatory requirements, including OSHA standards and corporate safety requirements.
  • The Safety Manager must be aware of obligations specific to our industry and the types of jobs our workers are performing.
  • The Safety Manager along with Production Leadership will train and coach our New-Hires in our On Boarding Orientation program and must ensure that our workers have proper safety training and personal safety equipment.
  • The Safety Manager also must verify that there are no violations in the workplace and must comply with all reporting requirements.



  • MUST have 3- 5 years of relevant experience in safety OR a degree in a safety related field.
  • MUST have a flexible schedule to conduct travel  if  necessary
  • Initiative to complete all required work tasks. This position will have required Overtime including weekends and night shifts if necessary.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of plant personnel and management including corporate leadership.
  • Ability to train and mentor plant personnel on company safety programs, procedures, polices and guidelines.
  • Ability to plan service visits to other plant locations as needed.
  • Ability to make travel arrangements that are cost effective and make for effective use of time
  • Basic computer skills with ability to learn additional skills  
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills 
  • Manufacturing / Lean Manufacturing knowledge is a plus


Travel is an essential function of the position. Our expense tracking and reporting requires that you be issued an AMEX card to charge business expenses and manage your travel. The issuance of these cards is based generally upon your credit worthiness as determined by AMEX. Please understand that if you are unable to qualify for a card, we will not be able to consider you for the position.
