The Director of Sourcing will lead and oversee the Building Accessories & Indirect Materials & Services procurement function for NCI which includes having direct accountability for over $150 million dollars in related spend and will apply best practices to ensure a competitive advantage based on the total cost of ownership.

The position will be responsible for further developing NCI’s sourcing process which includes leading sourcing teams, developing and executing strategies that deliver a competitive advantage to the business, managing supplier relationships & negotiations, driving productivity improvements, and working collaboratively with all functions of NCI.


Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for leading, motivating and challenging the sourcing organization to assure a competitive advantage is being delivered
  • Lead the sourcing strategy development process.
  • Provide in-depth analysis to support strategy development and fact-based decisions.
  • Challenge historical paradigms.
  • Lead the supplier selection and negotiation process.
  • Drive the implementation of strategies.
  • Manage the supply base and resolve performance issues.
  • Develop a supply base that can support just-in-time manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement ideas to optimize TCO.
  • Develop supplier generated cost reductions.
  • Implement best practices.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and functional areas of the business to understand and satisfy needs and requirements.
  • Assist in communicating strategies to the business units.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 
  • Estimated travel requirement is 20%-30%


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other related business discipline. 
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in leading successful teams in the areas of procurement and supply chain management
  • A proven track record of success in managing procurement teams and executing a formal sourcing process.

  • Experience leading sourcing teams in a centralized procurement organization servicing multiple business units and multiple facilities
  • Ability to lead cross-functional and cross-business unit teams; interact and influence both internal and external management teams 
  • Experienced, knowledgeable and competent in executing a formal sourcing process 
  • Strong/experienced negotiator with a proven track record of negotiating both short and long term agreements
  • Proven analytic, management, communication and leadership skills
  • Proven project management, time management and conflict management skills
  • Creative, strategic and innovative thinker
  • Proven track record and capability to perform at a high level
  • Experienced in managing people and driving fact based performance management
