The Distribution Manager is responsible for


Inventory Control

  • Requisition/purchase supplies and or products needed to support manufacturing and sales
  • Responsible for the accuracy of inventory through cycle counts and inventory assignment
  • Prepare monthly and yearly inventory report
  • Monitor and manage warehouse factory supplies as required
  • Use Dynamics to manager, monitor, and review inventory by managing cycle counts and checking for new requirements or obsolete stock
  • Maintain auditable records (internal, external, SOX) at all times


  • Coordinate with transportation for deliveries and pick ups
  • Assign priorities to outside vendors in support of time shipping
  • Gets quotes for special order items
  • Coordinate schedules with corporate Customer Service Team
  • Use Management Information Systems to review, update, set priority, and forecast pick order completion dates
  • Have a general understanding of the Department of Transportation Cargo Securement Rules and Regulations
  • Have an understanding of and be able to enforce Hazmat Handling and Fork Lift operation guidelines
  • Process and review Purchase Orders and Bills of Lading daily
  • Administer quality system


  • Supervise warehouse and loading personnel
  • Assist in assigning the work schedules of warehouse and loading personnel
  • Liaison with Line Supervisors and other plant facilities often to meet job demand and requirements

Education and/or Experience:


7 years + relevant management experience in an Industrial/Logistics Operation

Knowledge of procedures, methods and techniques of inventory control

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with an advance knowledge in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Dynamics experience helpful

Proficient in forklift operation helpful
