Responsibilities

This position will strongly support all IMP purchasing functions including but not limited to Direct and Indirect Spends, qualifying vendors, evaluating bids and negotiating prices and terms for purchased goods and services. Track purchases, monitor vendor quality and service and maintain a current database of vendor information.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:       

  • Purchase materials, accessories and/or services per the NCI Group Procurement Policy
  • Script detailed bid packages for quoting purposes
  • Responsible for Purchase Order execution and document retention
  • Responsible for Analysis of usage and requirements to set min/max inventory levels
  • Expedite and update orders as needs change
  • Coordinate with Schedulers, Project Managers and Customer Service
  • Monitor and communicate changing market conditions
  • Anticipate pricing updates and communicate accordingly
  • Must work closely with manufacturing, sales and suppliers to analyze material consumption and stocking levels
  • Work with suppliers on delivery and quality issues
  • Must maintain Supplier Relationship
  • Postition does require some travel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Knowledge of NCI products, production facilities and coating lines is a plus
  • Ability to manage work standards and frequent changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and have a sense of urgency
  • Positive Attitude
  • Negotiation skills
  • MS Office Suite proficiency
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs
