Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician position specializes in general 3-phase electrical, PLC, VFD drives and other various electronic system. Maintenance Technician duties include troubleshooting and repair of electric, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic components in an industrial environment. Other responsibilities will include general maintenance duties as assigned. Must follow all company safety procedures to provide superior support toward the achievement of facilities goals and objectives.

 

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment 
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience troubleshooting and repairing operation of PLC controlled equipment, variable frequency drives, and general 3-phase controls.
  • Must be able to read and interrupt blue prints and schematics of systems.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines
  • Detect Faulty operations and defective material
  • Must have an understanding and the computer skills needed to setup and configure PC's and windows based industrial controllers.
  • Knowledge of press brakes, shears, automated flange and bar lines, various MIG welding systems and overhead cranes a plus

Qualifications

  

  • MUST be able to work shift work with possible overtime hours as needed
  • Knowledgeable on 480, 220, 120 AC voltage & 24, 12 DC volt circuits
  • Proficient in reading schematics
  • Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic discrepancies
  • Knowledge of a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment 
  • Good mechanical skills
  • Overhead Crane maintenance experience is a plus
  • Must be able to pass drug screen, background check and all required pre-hire assessments.
  • Strong safety, quality, work ethic and attitude.
  • Communicate and work well with all levels of plant personnel.
