Responsibilities

  • Manage the movement of products/equipment/materials in accordance with organizational policy and procedure. 
  • Coordinate 3rd party transportation carriers (flatbeds) to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of raw and finished goods.
  • Exercise judgement on priorities and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Manage fuel invoicing for private fleet and fuel surcharges within Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) program.
  • Prepare weekly invoice payments and ensure that all permits, taxes, and licensing are current.
  • Vendor invoice batching/ identifying issues
  • Preparing reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents using word processing, spreadsheets, data bases and/or presentation software. 
  • Communicate with Corporate IT department any relevant technical issues and future system enhancements. 
  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance and enhancement 
  • Other duties as directed and relevant to this position. 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of transportation operational experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred
  • Flatbed shipment experience preferred
  • Experience with Oracle’s Transportation Management system or other Transportation Management System Preferred
  • Working knowledge of carrier operations, rate structures, contracts
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to complete multiple, complex, tasks and assignments
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communications skills are required
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
