This position reports to the Engineering & Design, Engineering Coordinator and is responsible for providing technical support to internal and external customers in the proper application of CENTRIA products.   



  • Provide extensive review of project drawings and design intent to ensure CENTRIA product is being applied in the correct manner during the estimate stage
  • Assist with product and design questions form Architects, Designers, Sales Team, Customer Service, Estimating and Detailers
  • Understand and review fastening requirements and evaluate the best fasteners for the product application
  • Conduct structural testing for products to ensure compliance with latest building codes
  • Conduct air, water and thermal testing as required to meet code or project specific requirements
  • Prepare product certifications and technical bulletins



  • Provide structural reviews as needed
  • Review and assist with bid package preparation
  • Sales or job site visits as required


  • Must have a structural or civil engineering degree, PE license preferred
  • Minimum five years’ experience in the building products industry
  • Extensive knowledge with current building code requirements
  • Experience with techniques for air, water, thermal and structural testing
  • Excellent math and reading skills
  • Knowledge of all product applications and limitations
  • Understand both manufacturing process and fabrication techniques of products
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings and the integration of the façade to the structure
  • Ability to make presentations using PowerPoint
  • Experience using AutoCAD 2016
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a fast paced working environment
  • Must be self-motivated, creative and have the ability to learn and adapt
  • Strong sense of urgency



  • Continual reaching and using hands
  • Occasional standing, walking and continual sitting
  • Occasional stooping or kneeling
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Regular use of hand tools while conducting testing at the Product Innovation Center
  • Vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus
